杭州第19届亚运会奖牌取名为“湖山”，系继会徽“潮涌”，吉祥物“琮琮”“宸宸”“莲莲”，核心图形“润泽”，火炬“薪火”后又一杭州亚运会视觉形象体系的核心元素，是亚运文化美学的重要表达。“湖山”以良渚文化中的礼器玉琮为表征，将方形玉琮和圆形奖章融为一体，别具一格，具有很高的辨识度。
“湖山”呈现了杭州的地理特征。奖牌正面用凸出的线条勾勒出“三面云山一面城”的杭城画卷，湖水涟漪，山峦起伏，美不胜收；奖牌背面，形似方形印章，寓意运动员们在杭州亚运会上留下美好的印记。“湖山”表达了杭州生态文明之都的气质，湖光山色，绿水青山，造就了金山银山，也铸就了金牌银牌。“湖山”展现了勇攀高峰的体育精神。山高人为峰，在层峦叠嶂中，运动健儿顽强拼搏，挑战自我，攀登一个又一个高峰。奖牌将采用压印成型、数铣槽坑、修整刷拋、镀金镀银效果处理、防护处理等工艺。挂带将采用织锦提花工艺，环保印花技术，以双面手工缝合而成。挂带顶端桥型的束扣彰显了水乡、桥乡的江南特色。链接方式采用弹扣轴的生耳结构将挂带固定在奖牌内部。

It is an important addition tothe overall aesthetic of the event.Shan Shuiis characterized by the ceremonial jade Cong in theLiangzhuCulture. Thissquare jade,integrated with aroundmedal, is truly unique and highly recognizable.Shan Shuipresents the geographical features of Hangzhou. Byusingprotrudinglines,thepicturescrollofHangzhouisoutlined on the front side of the medal with misty hills on threesides and the city on one side, a rippling lake, and undulatingmountains beyond. The back side is shaped like a square seal,whichmeanstheathletesleaveabeautifulmarkontheHangzhou Asian Games.Shan ShuiexpressesthetemperamentofHangzhouasthecapital of ecological civilization, withnatural landscape, clearwater and green hills, creating invaluable assets, casting gold
and silver medals.Shan Shuishows the sportsmanship of climbing the heights.Reaching the top, one will become even higher. On the way tothesummit, athletes strivehard,challenge themselves,andsurmount one peak after another.The medal will be made by embossing, milling, trimming andpolishing,goldandsilverplatingeffecttreatment,andprotection treatment. The medal ribbon will be hand-stitchedonbothsidesusingbrocadejacquardtechnologyandenvironmentallyfriendlyprintingtechniques.Thebridge-shaped buckle at the top of the ribbon highlights theJiangnan characteristics of the water town and the bridge town.The linking method adopts the raw ear structure of the springbuckle shaft to fix the ribbon inside the medal.

担任奖牌设计团队主要负责人的中国美术学院工业设计系主任章俊杰表示：“奖牌设计意象汇聚了杭州三大世界文化遗产：西湖、大运河、良渚古城遗址，打破了亚运会标志放在奖牌中心的常规版式，将标志置于开阔的画卷之上，体现开放包容的东方审美。”作为继会徽“潮涌”，吉祥物“琮琮”、“宸宸”、“莲莲”，核心图形“润泽”，火炬“薪火”后又一代表杭州亚运会视觉形象体系的核心元素，“湖山”无疑是亚运文化美学的一项重要表达。

本次亚运会奖牌设计是由中国美术学院工业设计系主任章俊杰带领姜雨沁等设计团队成员，历时近两年反复修改论证后创作完成。
